Track-to-Track Fusion Architectures – A Review∗
This paper presents a easy to read review of the architectures for track-to-track fusion (T2TF). Based on whether the fusion algorithm uses the track estimates from the previous fusion and the configuration of information feedback, T2TF is categorized into six configurations, namely, T2TF with no memory with no, partial and full information feedback, and T2TF with memory with no, partial and fu...
متن کاملAlgorithms for Asynchronous Track-to-Track Fusion
Algorithms for synchronous track-to-track fusion (T2TF) have been widely studied. For the optimal T2TF, it is critical to take into account the crosscovariances between tracks of the same target due to (i) the common process noise, and (ii) information feedback [2]. The optimal memoryless (without memory–“woM”) T2TF with no information feedback (T2TFwoMnf) was studied in [3], [11]. In [15], the...
متن کاملA Generalized Information Matrix Fusion Based Heterogeneous Track-to-Track Fusion Algorithm
The problem of Track-to-Track Fusion (T2TF) is very important for distributed tracking systems. It allows the use of the hierarchical fusion structure, where local tracks are sent to the fusion center (FC) as summaries of local information about the states of the targets, and fused to get the global track estimates. Compared to the centralized measurement-to-track fusion (CTF), the T2TF approac...
متن کاملTrack-To-Track Measurement Fusion Architectures and Correlation Analysis
The purpose of this paper is to address some theoretical issues related to the track-to-track fusion problem when the measurements tracking the same target are inherently correlated by the common process noise of the underlying target. This problem has been intensively investigated using standard Kalman filter with some appealing theoretical results, however such results are no longer valid in ...
متن کاملTrack to track fusion method applied to road obstacle detection
This paper presents a data fusion Kalman based method applied to obstacle detection in road situations. We describe the principle and the implementation of fusion process. It is based on tracks produced separately by single sensors. Results with Infrared and Radar sensors are shown, proving the benefit of this dual approach. Another application with Radar and LIDAR is also illustrated.
